I read it when I was in 6th grade or something. I got in on LotR when the first movie came out—after I watched it, I read 2 and 3 (yes I skipped 1 because I was a CHILD and you can’t judge me for that, don’t even try, that’s fucking dumb) and then picked up the Hobbit. *shrug* I don’t remember much of any of them.
To be perfectly honest, I think I was leering too hard at the young male model that got to pose for us once. That was the only day I ever got to see a male model in drawing class.
Oof. We had a decent variety in my life drawing class (mostly ladies, but a couple different body types and one girl with a bunch of tattoos to challenge us), but the dude we got was awful. He was really skinny and creepy lookin’ with weird janky hair and this super awkward vibe and whenever he posed he made an appropriate expression…? So this lanky, super creepy dude was standing around naked, pretending to skip a rock on a pond, and wearing this gigantic, ridiculous grin.
When we got to vote for our last class’ figure, no one voted for him.
(Side note, can I just say that I think a lot of this does have to do with who is actually applying for the job? Most people are too shy to pose nude, so you kind of have to go with whoever’s willing. It might be that there just weren’t any other types of folks wanting to strip down and let students stare at them and draw their every intimate details.)
